Residential Carpenter

BARRIER CONSTRUCTION offers consistent employment throughout the year and boasts a record of no layoffs Our work schedule respects your personal time, with jobs set during regular business hours.  Our jobsites are generally located within 20 miles of the 694/494 loop.

Key Requirements:

• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Experience with power tools.
• 1 Year of hands on construction experience is required.
• Short list of required tools, and a tool belt.
• Commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
• Keeping the workspace tidy and adhering to safety protocols.
•  Valid driver's license and have access to dependable transportation.
• Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Solid attendance and work ethic

Key Responsibilities:

• Exterior carpentry includes framing, sheathing, window flashing, and correcting at grade issues.
• Demolition
• Installing windows and doors.
• Fitting structural components and fixtures.
• Knowledge in stucco application and moisture damage repair is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with construction regulations and building codes.

Summary:

• Position: Residential Carpenter
• Compensation: $22.00 to $32.00 per hour
• Job Type: Full-Time
• Monday - Friday, average hours are 7:30 - 3:00, no weekends
• Paid Holidays
• $250/month towards ICHRA medical insurance
• 3% Match on Simple IRA
• Paid time off
• Company Apparel and boot allowance
