As an Estimator at Advance Companies, you will play a critical role in accurately estimating project costs and ensuring the successful execution of our projects. This position requires a strong background in using Xactimate, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate Preparation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for projects using Xactimate software, taking into account all relevant factors such as materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Data Collection: Gather and analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other relevant documents to ensure precise estimations.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough cost analysis, including labor rates, material costs, and subcontractor quotes, to provide comprehensive estimates.
- Xactimate Expertise: Utilize Xactimate software proficiently to create, edit, and manage estimates, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other team members to refine and adjust estimates as needed and provide ongoing support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Accuracy and Consistency: Maintain a high level of accuracy and consistency in estimating practices, continuously improving processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- Client Communication: Communicate estimated project costs effectively to clients, addressing any questions or concerns, and providing additional information as required.
- Documentation: Maintain organized and detailed records of all estimates, including revisions and updates, to facilitate project tracking and analysis.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and market fluctuations to ensure competitiveness in estimates.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Estimator with a strong emphasis on using Xactimate.
- Proficiency in Xactimate software and the ability to create accurate estimates efficiently.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
