- Responsible for the collection, decontamination, sterilization, and storage and distribution of surgical instrumentation and supplies for the organization.
- Demonstrates ability to perform all duties required of a Sterile Processing Technician while following government regulations.
- Responsible for ordering all medical supplies and stocking shelves daily.
- Responsible for keeping an inventory of all supplies and keeping the supply room clean and organized
- Completion of an approved Sterile Processing course.
- 1-2 Years of Sterile Processing experience, Plastics Experience Preferable
- Approved Sterile Processing Technician certification, CSPDT or CRCST, OR approved certified surgical technologist, CST certification required within 1 year of hire.
- Must possess thorough knowledge of surgical instrumentation.
- Requires frequent judgment and response, occasionally in response to disasters or emergencies, actual events or drills.
- Requires high-level visual and auditory acuity for timely response.
Experience:
- Sterile processing: 2 years (Required)
- CSPDT (Required)
