Job Details:
  • Position: Substance Abuse Clinical Counselor.
  • Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 / hr, depending on experience, licenses and certifications.
  • Business Hours: Monday - Friday 5:00 am - 12:00pm, Saturday: 6:00 am - 9:00 am.
  • Schedule: FT, Monday - Friday 5:00 am - 12:00 pm, Rotating Saturdays 6:00-9:00 am.
  • Hiring Location: Sumter, SC.

Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's Degree at minimum in Human Services field required.
  • *Experience in lieu of a degree is not accepted.

Duties:
  • Treatment Specialists provide comprehensive services to assist individuals who are dealing with opiate addiction or dependency.  We combine counseling with medications to optimize success in treatment. We are in need of a Substance Abuse Clinical Counselor(s) at our Sumter, SC clinic.

Position Summary: 
  • Provide confidential, individual, group, and family or significant other counseling, including education regarding chemical dependency, addiction, and recovery. 
  • Thorough documentation of the patient’s progress in the patient record, in compliance with all regulatory agencies and clinic policy and procedures.
  • Develop individual treatment plans with the patient’s active participation, which reflect
    current problems, strengths, and goals.
  • Explain patient rights, patient responsibilities, and provide orientation in a manner that is positive and clear to new intakes.
  • Assurance of patient confidentiality in all areas, in compliance with 42 CFR 11
  • Completion of all proper documentation in a timely manner.
  • Provide and guarantee effective treatment for all patients in need regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, age, and sexual preference.
