Summary Description:
  • Heavy Duty Inside sales representatives work in an office environment selling products to customers with heavy-duty vehicles. 
  • Heavy Duty Inside sales representatives should build rapport and achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Heavy Duty Inside Sales, representatives are responsible for gaining new leads and converting them to ongoing customers through relationship building.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Greets customers promptly and courteously.
  • Answers telephone promptly and minimizes hold calls.
  • Takes orders over the phone.
  • Maintains customer addresses, telephone numbers, etc. up to date.
  • Sells products to customers via telephone and counter.
  • Attempts sales of additional items, parts, and/or accessories.
  • Assists outside sales and customers in locating parts.
  • Ensures that the outside sales and customers receive parts in a timely manner.
  • Maintains ongoing effective communication with customers and outside sales regarding parts.
  • Answer customers' questions about pricing, products, availability, and product features.
  • Stays informed about products and services.
  • Ensures that product catalogs are current.
  • Reads catalogs to determine new parts on the market.
  • Locates other vendors who have the part if it isn't in stock.
  • Recommends substitute parts if parts aren’t available.
  • Maintains an updated call log of part inquiries from phone calls.
  • Keeps himself/herself groomed per MSP guidelines.
  • Performs other tasks as required by the Inside Sales Manager or Upper Management.
