Landscape Foreman

ALM Commercial Landscaping-Huntsville is searching for a Landscape Foreman to support the completion of landscaping projects, ensuring their successful execution from start to finish. Our Foreman plays a crucial role in ordering and delivery of materials, coordinating logistics for projects, and assisting with on-site oversight to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This position is fulltime and benefit eligible. We are looking for candidates who want a long-term career and we are ready to invest in their growth Responsibilities:

• Assist in the execution of landscape installation projects.
• Take ownership of ordering plant materials, tools/equipment, and supplies needed for project activities.
• Pick up, transport and deliver equipment, materials, and personnel to and from project sites to ensure achievement of project deadlines
• Oversee the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage or loss.
• Instruct employees on the proper ways to operate all types of landscape equipment such as, skid steer, excavator, trencher, mini skid steer, dump truck, truck and trailer, saws, and hand tools
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality of workmanship, reporting any issues or deviations from project plans to management.
• Assist in implementing corrective actions to address quality concerns or performance issues as they arise.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors as necessary.
• Communicate with customers, operations teams and subcontractors regarding status of project and materials.
• Performs other activities as directed by management
• Ensures adherence to safe work practices and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High School Degree or equivalent is desired
• 3+ years of experience of landscape construction required; must have plant identification knowledge
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record and ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening
• Must have basic office and computer skills to be successful in the position
• Strong verbal and written communicator who can work effectively with various types of people
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
• Must be able to lift 50lbs and walk 10+ miles a day
