DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Bryn Mawr Medical Specialists Association. We have an ongoing need for Medical Assistants for our various medical specialties. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support to medical professionals and ensuring exceptional patient care. Your ability to multi-task, display empathy, and maintain professionalism will contribute to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist healthcare providers with medical procedures and examinations.
  • Take patient vital signs and update medical records as necessary.
  • Prepare patients for tests and assist with laboratory procedures.
  • Administer medications and vaccines under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and collect samples for analysis.
  • Educate patients on post-treatment care and provide them with necessary information.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the reception area when needed.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach towards patients.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
  • Strong computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs.
