About the Job:  The maintenance technician performs various building maintenance and facilities support functions such as cleaning and/or repairing building fixtures and equipment, graffiti removal, signage repair or replacement, lighting maintenance, etc.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Identify property maintenance on an ongoing basis.
  • Logging, scheduling, and completing identified maintenance work,
  • Conduct preventative maintenance functions following government regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure that all scheduled jobs and timekeeping are properly recorded and submitted.
  • Coordinate and maintain relationships with property managers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • General maintenance skills such as basic electrical, plumbing, painting, repair, etc.
  • Commercial building maintenance is required.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 is helpful.
  • Valid California Driver's License and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Cal-OSHA requirements and safe work practices.
  • Motivation to do a good job when working alone.
  • Have a polished, professional, put-together demeanor.
  • Ability to use technological devices (i.e., smartphone, laptop, tablet).
  • Must be able to service various locations in San Diego County as needed.

Physical Demands and Requirements:Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug-screen and physical.  Use of hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.  Stand for long periods.  Bend or twist the body, kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl.  Physically able to work on HVAC units.  Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on the time of year.  Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, walking, or climbing ladders.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
