DescriptionAs a Supervisor in the Residential Porter division, you will provide support to all Porters and properties in your assigned territories. You will directly support the Lead Porter, new hire training, facilitate new property walk throughs and assist with property cleaning completion as needed.  Supervisors will oversee all Porter in the Bay Area in Northern California; Travel will be required.  
Supervisor Responsibilities:
  • Train new employees on the service properties.
  • Interview candidates for openings to fulfill staffing needs.
  • Maintain safe working conditions, wearing all required PPE, ensuring safety policies are followed and teaching other team members how to work safely.
  • Help Porter staff problem solve customer issues.
  • Resolve any outstanding service issues with the help of Sales and Operations.
  • Conduct new site walk throughs with Sales and Operations Managers.
  • Provide QA checks as needed.
  • Communicate any policy changes, customer account changes, or company changes to staff.
  • Alert Manager to any ongoing performance issues.
  • Attend weekly Operations meetings, providing follow up on outstanding issues and implementing new policy changes.
  • Attend weekly Safety meetings, providing support for your Safety Captains and quick resolutions to unsafe work practices.
  • Act as a Porter for staff coverage.

Porter Responsibilities (as needed):
  • Collect trash from receptacles in parking garage and/or parking lot.
  • Pick up loose trash and debris in parking garage and/or parking lot.
  • Service interior common area trash such as the gyms, pools, hallways, etc.
  • Provide cleaning/mopping of specified areas as needed.
  • Remove bulky items, illegal dumping or hazardous material from property – including common areas such as gyms, pools, hallways, etc.
  • Maintain doggie bag stations by emptying waste receptacles and refill bag supply.
  • Report any damage or leaks in the building to apartment staff.
  • Communicate with Operations team for any additional WX services needed onsite such as repair, pressure washing, waste sorting, etc.
  • Take before and after photos as necessary for quality control.

Requirements:Qualifications:
  • Supervisory Skills and Operations Management experience.
  • Strong Analytical Skills.
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Experience in waste management or related field is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Travel will be required.

Qualified Operations Supervisors may have:
  • 2+ years of supervising/managing in a dynamic, people-driven environment.
  • Valid Driver's License and approval for driving company vehicles.
  • Work experience in a warehouse, logistics, transportation, or similar industry.
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office and related business systems preferred.

Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday shifts, 6:00 am start time.
  • Holiday availability as needed.
  • Overtime.
