The Senior Database Developer position is responsible for the design, development, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of database development in support of web applications with a focus on Oracle database applications development, batch processing and reporting. Maintain and troubleshoot existing applications following standard coding practices and industry best practices. This role develops and maintains solutions for new requests for existing applications. The Developer resolves any issues dealing with performance for all code released to production. This position also assists with impact analyses of any changes made to the database objects. This role develops design documentation and maintains database versions of code with GIT.

The position requires participation in the complete system development life cycle including post-implementation support. The Developer provides technical expertise to management, and business users, and works closely with other developers by writing optimized SQL queries for integration with different applications.

QUALIFICATION:Formal Education & Certification:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology field of study (e.g., Information Technology, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Systems Management, Mathematics) or equivalent experience.
Knowledge & Experience:
  • 5+ years of IT experience.
  • 5+ years of experience developing OLTP database applications in Oracle 10g/11g and UNIX/LINUX/Solaris environment within a multi-tier environment; building and formulating business requirements.
  • Work experience with PL/SQL Types, PL/SQL Collections, SQL Loader, PL/SQL Functions and Procedures, Packages, Materialized view, Triggers, Complex SQLs, and SQL Reports.
  • Work experience with PL/SQL techniques in LOBs and multilingual character conversion; Optimize the applications using Exadata Oracle Performance Tuning Techniques; develop Unit Testing Methods for PL/SQL; develop UNIX scripts for batch processing and work with Oracle RAC clusters and Exadata systems.
  • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases. Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
  • Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
