Job Details:

  • Location: Needham, MA

POSITION SUMMARY:
  • The nurse in this position will care for geriatric clients with basic medical care needs to advanced medical needs, most clients require assistance with administering medications, monitoring wounds and basic ADL care. 
  • Wound care, Rx reconciliation, vital sign checks, catheterization, ADLs.
  • This is an opportunity for a conscientious, self-motivated nurse with excellent organizational skills who enjoys caring for seniors in a comfortable home like facility. 
  •  Administer medications, tests, and treatments.
  • Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, and their families.
  • Promotes patient’s independence and assists when needed.
  • Oversees delegated tasks to ensure the clients safety. 
  • Assist our memory impaired clients with every day tasks and provide medical treatment when needed such as; medications, diet, exercise, and other aspects of their daily plan of care.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with patients, caregivers, and the physician.
  • Provide care and compassion for our elders that have ailments – not limited to Dementia/ Alzheimer’s
  • knowledge of how to document using matrix not required but helpful.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Current Massachusetts RN or LPN license in good standing
  • Current Massachusetts driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • 1 + year of nursing experience preferred, but not required. VNA experience a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with documenting the electronic medical record strongly preferred
  • Must be a fluent communicator (English); bilingual is a plus. Excellent clinical skills, bedside manner, administering medications, medical teamwork, multi-tasking, listening, verbal communication
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Must feel comfortable seeing our clients in their homes and or facilities
