Job Description:As a Gynecologist Ultrasound Technician, you will be responsible for performing ultrasounds and sonographic examinations specifically tailored to gynecological procedures. Your primary focus will be on providing detailed and accurate imaging of the female reproductive system to assist gynecologists in diagnosing conditions and guiding treatment plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform gynecological ultrasound examinations using specialized equipment to visualize and assess reproductive organs including the uterus, ovaries, and fallopian tubes.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment proficiently, adjusting settings to obtain optimal images while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with gynecologists and healthcare professionals to discuss and analyze ultrasound findings, contributing valuable insights to aid in accurate diagnoses and treatment planning.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of ultrasound images, patient information, and examination results for documentation and reference purposes.
  • Follow established protocols and procedures for ultrasound examinations, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and healthcare guidelines.
  • Assist in the maintenance and calibration of ultrasound equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues to ensure smooth operation.
  • Stay updated on advancements in gynecological ultrasound technology, techniques, and industry best practices through continuous education and professional development.
  • Determine gestational age of fetus in pregnant patients.

Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in performing gynecological ultrasound examinations, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and interpreting images specific to gynecological procedures.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with healthcare professionals.
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality, privacy, and providing empathetic care.

Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation purposes.
  • WILLING TO WORK SESSIONAL HOURS IN PRIVATE GYNECOLOGY SERVICE in Wilmington.
  • This individual is also required to work occasional Saturday hours.
