XO Taco is looking for a Sous Chef to be responsible for setting up workstations in the kitchen, preparing ingredients, and preparing menu items.

Prep Cook Responsibilities:
  • Setting up and sanitizing workstations.
  • Following prep lists created by the chef/kitchen manager.
  • Measuring ingredients and seasonings.
  • Using ingredients to prepare/chop/mix/slice meats, sauces, stocks, and more with standardized recipes.
  • Ensuring all food items are properly stored and easily accessible.
  • Assisting the chef in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise.
  • Supervising food and cooling room temperatures.
  • Accepting or rejecting ingredients from suppliers.
  • Preparing menu items to order.
  • Maintaining a clean, orderly, and sanitized kitchen.

Prep Cook Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience as a prep cook.
  • Manual dexterity to operate cooking tools such as knives, immersion blenders, and food processors.
  • Strong team working and communication skills.
  • Able to work long shifts in a busy environment.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in stressful, fast-paced environments.

Main job duties include:
  • Assisting in day-to-day food preparation and menu item preparation.
  • Cutting/chopping/slicing/dicing.
  • Food inventory.
  • Food Quality.
