The Store Protection Specialist (SPS) is the face of Loss Prevention to Customers and Associates and your presentation is an important part of displaying the control and confidence needed to provide Command Presence in your Store. This chapter includes the following topics:
  • Command Presence Responsibilities
  • Personal Presentation
  • Best in Class Dress Code- Strictly Enforced 
Command Presence is the display of control and confidence shown through your behaviors and presentation. This is accomplished by:
  • Greeting each Customer loudly and proudly with eye contact everywhere in the Store. Your greeting should be confident  and welcoming.
  • Remaining aware of the environment by walking around the Front End, observing sightlines and hotspots throughout the Store, and identifying and communicating internal and external theft indicators.
  • Executing 100% Best in Class Dress Code standards per the SPS Best in Class Presentation Guide.
Demonstrating a strong Command Presence during your shift can also include:
  • Enthusiastically greeting every customer as they walk in. Your greeting should be confident, it should feel welcoming to Customers. It should set the tone that the SPS is in command of the environment, deterring theft.
  • Remaining aware of your environment; have your head on a swivel, walk back and forth at the front, never drift too far from the front doors, and observe sightlines into the Store and at the point of sale
