Field Operations Manager - Management & Training.

This position covers 3 main areas:Liaison for communications with Office, Field, & Customers:
  • Ensure that all parties are set up for success

Execute and refine the field training and career path movement of each employee:
  • Work beside team members in each process and procedure.

Train & Mentor Leadership and those aspiring to grow into leadership:
  • Leadership pieces require soft skills and accountability functions and techniques.

This position requires a minimum of 15 years of leadership experience as a Concrete Foreman. Position requirements: hard work, leadership skills, ethics, and ability to maintain quality standards, communication, professional commitment, integrity & passion for success, and passion for seeing & helping others grow & win.

This Position Includes overseeing, managing, & training (Finishers & Laborers):
  • Form & Finish Stoops, Stairs, Driveways & Sidewalks, patios, and decorative work.
  • Hard Troweled & Machined Finishes for Garages & Basements (3/16” per 10’ max deviation).
  • Operation of Equipment: Skid Steer, Troweling Machine, Compactors, Augers, Jackhammers, etc.
  • Exterior Set-up & Forming for Proper Drainage (Elevations).
  • Exterior Finishes: Broomed & Stamped.
  • Ability to see and train for High-Quality Expectations & Results.
  • Must be physically capable of performing field functions tied to training methods.
  • Stamped & Decorative Concrete Preparation and Detailing.
  • Experience in setting up, pouring, and finishing large slabs over 15K SF (Preferred).
  • ADA abilities for municipal work (Preferred).

Management Skills Must Include (Foreman):
  • Computer & Technology skills/aptitude.
  • Ability to Train & Teach Team Members in specific areas for leadership roles & skills in their positions.
  • Calculate & Call in concrete orders & cancel orders as needed.
  • Leadership for field conduct and daily roles – Accountability & Mentoring.
  • Communicate daily production schedule & next-day needs: Cornerstone/Customers.
  • Read and implement prints and drawing details.
  • Be able to work with customers through proper channels & paperwork and face-to-face discussions.
  • Focus on quality results.
  • Must have a positive team-building attitude: Positivity is a Main Core Value.
  • IDS – Identify/Discuss/Solve: Problem Solving - No negative talk or Company disparagement.
  • Personal Passion for continued learning and professionalism (focus on finding good changes).
  • Contributions for and at scheduled meetings.
  • ACI Certification: Preferred, but not required to start.
  • Driving record that allows for driving a company vehicle - Required.
  • Class A License: Preferred.
  • Experience in both Residential & Commercial flatwork.
  • Focus and understanding of Concrete mixes and chemistry options to maximize field conditions.
