Dominican Village is a not-for-profit, senior living community and assisted living residence founded in 1992 by the sisters of St. Dominic of Amityville, New York.

We are currently looking for an overnight Concierge Security to join our Concierge Department. The Concierge Security is responsible for meeting and greeting all residents, visitors, vendors, and outside agencies in a friendly, helpful manner, triage of all telephone calls and deliveries, and ensuring patients and all imminent issues are escalated to appropriate personnel.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides outstanding customer service to all residents, family members, responsible persons, and visitors to the residence
  • Monitors the safety of the residents through monitoring alarm systems, emergency call systems, fire, and security.
  • They use surveillance equipment to monitor the property, detect suspicious activities, and identify potential security threats.
  • Responds to emergency calls by contacting proper personnel and, if necessary, an ambulance.
  • Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and unusual occurrences essential for audits and investigations.
  • Responsible for greeting all guests/visitors/PDAs and entering into the Easy Lobby System; ensures visitors apply identification stickers to the outer garment.
  • Trained to respond swiftly in emergencies, they assist with contacting emergency services as needed, and ensure a calm and organized response.
  • Responsible for the proper completion and distribution of unusual occurrence reports, and resident status update reports. Records and files residents’ absence/return forms
  • Monitors sign-in and out of keys to employees
  • Serves all departments in the collection of monies for services, trips, purchases, lounge tickets, stamps, etc.
  • Handles signup sheets for trips and special transportation.
  • Responsible for all monetary transactions and reconciliation of such in the cash register
  • Responsible for identifying and reporting any situation at Dominican Village that may result in injury or loss for any resident, employee, volunteer, and/or visitor. This responsibility includes the identification and reporting of any risks or incidents that may affect the business practices and successful operation of Dominican Village
  • Performs various clerical duties and other related functions as may be required

Education/Experience/Licensure/Requirements: 
  • Associate's degree and a minimum of one (1) related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid NY State Driver's License 
  • Experience with multiple telephone lines, excellent customer service, and telephone etiquette.
  • Proficient in computer software such as Microsoft Suite, POS, etc.
  • Open availability to work weekends and holidays
  • Ability to maintain a clean and professional appearance per Dominican Village policy

Job Types: Full-time
Salary: $18.00 hourly
Standard Shift: 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM
