Freedom Classical Academy is a K-8 charter school specializing in a unique blend of STEM and classical education. Our middle school is structured differently from most middle schools.  Students only have 2 main classes. One is a “STEM” class where they are taught science and math and the other is a humanities class where they are taught ELA and History. They also attend specials once a week. This has been a successful model that has allowed our middle schoolers to get the support they need to find great success and growth.

We are seeking an 8th Grade Algebra 1/Science teacher to join us for the 2024-2025 school year.

This means providing open and inviting classrooms, grade-level or subject-area support teams, instructional support, limited meetings, ongoing professional development, established curriculum resources, and much more. As a single-site charter school, we are free of bloated bureaucracy and power structures. You will have direct access to decision-makers and can contribute in a meaningful way to important school decisions.

FOUR DAY SCHOOL WEEK. Our Board of Directors and the state approved the move to a four-day school week for the 2024-25 school year. Our teachers will work Monday through Thursday except on weeks with a Monday holiday when they will work Tuesday through Friday. One Friday a month is also dedicated to professional development and PLC teams. This change has been made with the specific goal of helping our staff have better work/life balance. Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Deliver fast-paced, engaging lessons in a direct instruction model.
  • Maintain excellent classroom management.
  • Communicate frequently with parents.
  • Attend weekly PLC meetings and Staff Meetings.
  • Participate in student pick-up or drop-off, as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:Qualified applicants must:
  • Have an NV teacher's certificate.
  • Be open to frequent coaching and feedback.
