DLP Staffing is currently accepting applications for the position of:

POSITION TITLE: Warehouse Worker                                                                      Location:  Eagle Pass, TX

FLSA: Non-Exempt                              Hire Pay: $10.50-$11.00 per hour.              Classification: Full-Time

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The warehouse worker will be responsible for loading and unloading, storing, tracking inventory, and following any instructions given by the warehouse manager.

JOB SUMMARY:
  • Obtain merchandise from bins or shelves.
  • Read orders to ascertain catalog numbers, sizes, colors, and quantities of merchandise.
  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
  • Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or on a computer.
  • Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred merchandise.
  • Mark stock items, using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
  • Take inventory or examine merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished.
  • Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, moving materials, and manipulating things.
  • Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
  • Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
  • Attach identification information to products, items, or containers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while standing for long periods.
  • Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and legs.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
Receives supervision from the department manager. The position has formally assigned supervisory responsibility and authority. Must complete jobs without constant supervision.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
The principal duties of this position are performed in an indoor and outdoor environment, with high equipment noise and differing temperatures.

ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:
This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing. DLP Staffing has a Drug Free Workplace Policy that includes Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and Reasonable Suspicion Testing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
