Warehouse Manager

We are seeking a Warehouse Manager for our Springfield, VA facility to oversee our facility and team.
Roles and responsibilities include:
- Manage Warehouse Supervisors and Associates providing guidance and expertise.
- Responsible for all warehouse operations.
- Responsible for all vacations and planned objectives.
- Develops work schedules and assigns supervisors accordingly.
- Initiate and monitor all safety policies.
- Monitor regulatory compliance.
- Review completed accident reports.
- Evaluate performance of Associates.
- Responsible to ensure warehouse and grounds are clean and orderly at all times.
- May conduct performance reviews.
- Partner with Human Resources to interview and hire most qualified person for openings.
- Train all or ensure that all warehouse personnel are trained on all warehouse equipment.
- Provide coaching, counseling and discipline up to and including termination of employment as necessary or recommend such to the Director of Warehouse Operations.
- Drive P&L initiatives.
- Performs other duties as required.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field and 7 years Warehouse Management experience; OR 10 years Warehouse Management experience.
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within warehouse.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to develop and motivate high performing teams.
- Experience developing and managing to daily KPIs to understand performance and progress towards long term strategic goals.
- Proven ability to use analytics and management reporting to develop and execute improvement actions.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Previous WMS (Warehouse Management System) experience.
- Prefer pallet jack/forklift certification.
- Prefer experience implementing/adhering to Safety protocols, developing and executing GMPs, allergen and sanitation programs in a warehousing environment.
