Position Overview:As a Video Technician at Edge Media DC, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless execution of audiovisual solutions for events, presentations, and productions. From setting up equipment to troubleshooting technical issues, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality video experiences that exceed our clients' expectations. This position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with a talented team in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate audiovisual equipment for live events, church services, meetings, and productions, including cameras, projectors, screens, switchers, and audio systems.
  • Conduct pre-event checks and testing to ensure all equipment is functioning properly and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise during events.
  • Assist with the installation and configuration of video systems in various venues, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with clients and event organizers to understand their audiovisual requirements and provide technical support and guidance as needed.
  • Monitor and adjust audiovisual settings during events to maintain optimal image quality, sound levels, and lighting conditions.
  • Coordinate with other technical staff, including lighting technicians, sound engineers, and stagehands, to ensure smooth execution of events.
  • Maintain inventory of audiovisual equipment, including repairs, replacements, and upgrades, to ensure availability and reliability.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Video Technician or similar role, preferably in the events, entertainment, or AV industry.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of audiovisual equipment, including cameras, video switchers, LED walls,  projectors, and signal processors.
  • Familiarity with live streaming and presentation software, such as ATEM control, OBS, Wirecast, Vimeo Livestream, Adobe suite, Propresenter 7, & Powerpoint 
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively under pressure, ensuring minimal disruption to events.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
  •  Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in audiovisual technology, broadcasting, or a related field.
