Position: A/V Technician - Madison, WI

Position Overview:
  • As an A/V Technician on our team, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining over 330 conference rooms dispersed across various locations in the United States.
  • You will primarily operate within the Madison, WI area offices.
  • Your responsibilities will encompass both onsite and remote support, ensuring seamless audio-visual experiences for meetings and events.
  • This dynamic role demands physical agility, technical proficiency, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly to alerts and outages generated by Microsoft Teams and Zoom admin systems, coordinating with technicians in other locations for efficient issue resolution.
  • Manage and triage tickets related to conference room issues within the ServiceNow (SNOW) platform, ensuring timely resolution or escalation as necessary.
  • Conduct pre-meeting checks and tests on large conference rooms scheduled for use, proactively addressing any potential technical issues.
  • Perform routine inspections to identify and rectify outages not detected by automated systems, ensuring optimal functionality of all AV equipment.
  • Provide on-site support for large-scale events and meetings, ensuring smooth operation of audio-visual systems.
  • Execute additional work assignments as outlined in the Planner tool, prioritizing tasks based on organizational needs.
  • Update firmware and software as directed by CCT leads, ensuring the reliability and security of AV systems.
  • Manage inventory of AV equipment and coordinate reorder requests as needed, maintaining adequate stock levels.
  • Install new conference rooms and update existing setups in collaboration with AV vendors, adhering to established guidelines and standards.
  • Create and manage tickets with preferred AV support vendors for equipment failures, facilitating necessary replacements or repairs.
  • Coordinate recertification visits for high-profile spaces with maintenance contracts, ensuring compliance with service agreements.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as replacing batteries and ensuring proper functionality of equipment.
  • Conduct post-service checks to restore conference rooms to optimal working conditions, including cable management and equipment placement.
  • Maintain clear communication regarding availability and time-off requests, contributing to team visibility and cohesion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or team leads.
