Adelphi is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide services to Medicare-certified residential service facility in Southeast, Missouri. The ideal therapist will provide services to improve the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities and implement a system of supportive services.

Requirements:
  • Active Missouri license
  • Demonstrate the technical knowledge and skill levels required to provide the service
  • Have a pleasant demeanor and a positive outlook

Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge of the current principles, procedures, techniques, and instrumentation used in evaluating the speech, language, and hearing status of consumers.
  • Knowledge of the relationships among speech, language, and hearing problems, with particular concern for individuals having multiple disabilities.
  • Ability to evaluate the communication potential of consumers and apply appropriate therapy plans.
  • Provide physical therapy to preserve, enhance, or restore movement and physical function utilizing therapeutic exercise, physical modalities, assistive devices
  • Administer diagnostic tests, and prepare reports and summaries on diagnosis, prognosis, progress, and recommendations for clients identified.
  • Provide assessment and remediation of communication needs of clients which includes speech, voice, fluency, and language, and evaluate the need for augmentative communication devices that may be necessary based on referrals.
