Job SummaryThe Restaurant Operations Manager will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure the highest standards of food quality and customer service. The ideal candidate will be experienced with restaurant management software (Toast), delivery platforms (Uber Eats, DoorDash, EZ Cater), and manage payables and payroll. We are seeking someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and ready to maintain and enhance our restaurant's reputation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Management:Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.Implement and maintain standard operating procedures.Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain optimal stock levels.Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations.
Staff Management:Hire, train, and supervise restaurant staff.Create staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.Foster a positive work environment and team spirit.
Customer Service:
  • Ensure exceptional customer service for our customers and handle customer complaints promptly.
  • Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regular customers.

Financial Management:
  • Manage payables and control operational costs.
  • Track sales and manage the restaurant's budget.
  • Track timesheets and submit biweekly payroll. 
  • Prepare financial reports and analyze performance metrics.

Technology and Delivery Platforms:
  • Proficiently use Toast for order management, billing, and reporting.
  • Manage and optimize partnerships with delivery platforms (Uber Eats, DoorDash).
  • Analyze delivery performance and implement strategies to improve efficiency.

Hands-on Leadership:
  • Lead by example, participating in daily operations as needed. Work with all departments so you are able to fill in seamlessly when necessary.
  • Be willing to take on any task to ensure the restaurant runs smoothly.
  • Adapt to the restaurant's workflow and continuously learn and improve.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Operations Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant management software (Toast).
  • Experience with delivery platforms such as Uber Eats and DoorDash.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing payables.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a small, fast-paced environment and handle stress effectively.
  • Willingness to be hands-on and get involved in all aspects of the restaurant.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hospitality or restaurant management is a plus.

Preferred QualificationsExperience in a small restaurant setting.Passion for the food and beverage industry.Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
