Controls Technician

Looking for an Electrical Controls Technician to troubleshoot, modify and program PLCs and HMI's. This is a direct hire position in the Holland, MI area. Selected candidate will be given the opportunity learn more about PLC programming from seasoned Controls Engineers. Ideally seeking an ambitious hands-on type person who desires a long-term career as a Controls Engineer. Previous experience as a Maintenance Controls Tech, Controls Electrician, Field Service Tech or Panel Builder are desired. Also have similar openings in Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Holland and Kalamazoo.

Responsibilities of the Controls Technician:
  • Layout, design, build, wire, install, program and troubleshoot electrical control panels, junction boxes, limit switches, sensors, motors (AC/DC), conduit and other electrical component
  • Wire new machines and equipment with the latest electrical controls and components.
  • Troubleshoot and modify Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC’s and HMIs
  • Integrate, troubleshoot and modify robotic automation systems

Desired requirements of the Controls Technician:
  • Experience troubleshooting and modifying PLC's and HMIs
  • Experience wiring machines
  • Able to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
  • Familiar with electrical codes and standards
  • Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics is a plus
  • Experience programming robotics is a plus
  • Able to travel 10 - 20% of the time
  • Must be a US Citizen or have a Green Card
