Position Overview:We are looking for a motivated and dependable Fabricator to support our catalytic converter manufacturing division. Our manufacturing process involves working with a cnc spin forming machine, milling, tapping, etching, tube bending, cutting, and welding. An ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge and experience welding and tube bending using various tools, jigs, and machines. 
Responsibilities:

• Must be able to follow instructions in set-up and operate various machines and tools. 
• Must be able to use a tube/pipe bending machine to create specific radii and bends for exhaust applications.
• Check height, depth and thickness using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, gauges and other precision-measuring instruments, along with checking the original part with the fixture.
• Bend and form the product using the sequence instructed.
• Meet specifications and delivery requirements.
• Perform spot inspections of parts and fixtures.
• Perform all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to procedures.
• Complete and maintain paperwork.
• Identify assembly parts.
• Check machine for defects and repair if necessary.
• Ensure machine is calibrated and cleaned.
• Read drawings and blueprints, comprehend, follow and document work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training documents;
• Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled.
  
  

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years previous experience welding and pipe bending.
• Experience with muffler or exhaust systems.
• Regularly lift, push or pull up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Dexterity and hand and eye coordination.
