General DescriptionThe Member Service Representative’s primary responsibility is to provide exceptional member service while efficiently performing a variety of financial transactions. The MSR will serve as the front-line representative, addressing inquiries, promoting credit union products and services, and ensuring overall member satisfaction.

This is a Full-time (40 hours per week), Hourly Non-Exempt

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Member Service: Greet and assist members in a friendly and professional manner; Address member inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and accurately; Provide information on credit union products, services, and account options.
  • Financial Transactions: Process various financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawal, and loan payment; Handle check cashing, money orders, and other related transactions; Balance cash drawer and maintain accurate transaction records.
  • Account Management: Assist members with account inquiries, statement reviews, and account maintenance; educate members on online banking services and encourage adoption; Facilitate account openings, closings, and updates as needed.
  • Product and Service Promotion: Actively promote credit union products and services to meet member needs; cross-sell and refer financial products, such as loans, credit cards, and savings accounts; participate in promotional campaigns and outreach activities.
  • Compliance and Security: Adhere to all credit union policies and procedures; ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards; follow security protocols to safeguard member information and assets.
  • Problem Resolution: Resolve member issues and discrepancies in a timely and effective manner; escalate complex issues to the appropriate department or supervisor when necessary; continuously seek opportunities to enhance member satisfaction.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members and departments to provide seamless member service; participate in team meetings and training sessions; contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
