Position Overview:We are seeking a passionate and experienced Gymnastics Instructor to lead our early youth (ages 3-12) gymnastics programs in the evenings. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing engaging gymnastics activities for children, fostering a love for physical activity, and contributing to the overall success of our recreation programs. Classes are on select days during the evening for 2-3 hours.

Responsibilities:
  • Instructional content will be basic gymnastics movements and exercises on various pieces of gymnastics equipment.
  • This position would assist a primary instructor, and potentially become a primary instructor, in teaching 3 to 7-year-old children.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of participants during all gymnastics activities.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, participants, and other program staff.
  • Ensure a clean and safe gymnastics environment.
  • Availability during evening hours to lead gymnastics programs in 8-week sessions.
  • Must have the physical ability to spot children as they complete various exercises.
  • Would be willing to train a person who has exceptional ability to work with young children.

Qualifications:
  • Previous gymnastics experience preferred. 
  • Knowledge of age-appropriate gymnastics techniques and skill progressions is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

Compensation: $13.95/hr.
