QC Chemist

A successful pharmaceutical manufacturer is in need of a qualified permanent/direct QC Chemist to handle the following responsibilities:

  • Performs routine analysis on samples submitted for testing on time and accurately.
  • Perform wet chemistry analyses such as High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) & Gas Chromatography (GC) on pharmaceuticals in a Quality Control lab.
  • Performs basic maintenance/calibration/troubleshooting on instruments.
  • Documents results in accordance with cGMP and as laid out in the company's sops.
  • Informs supervisor of deviations in results from established specifications.
  • Adherence to policies/procedures (SOPs, cGMP’s, safety protocols)
  • Any other functions are required by the Quality Control Unit.
Hours: M - F,  8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

 Requirements: 
  • Minimum BS in a scientific discipline
  • 3+ years experience in a laboratory environment with experience in HPLC, GC, and raw material wet chemistry techniques.
  • Basic communication, mathematics, and computer skills
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Able to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, full face/half mask respirator, latex gloves, Tyvek suit, and other safety equipment as needed.
  • Basic knowledge of chemistry and/or biochemistry.
  • Basic wet chemistry techniques
  • Ability to write documents, reports, SOPs, protocols and provide training.
