Sous Chef for High Volume Restaurant
We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a high-volume restaurant and entertainment complex. If you are passionate about culinary arts, have experience working in a fast-paced environment, and can consistently deliver exceptional food quality, we want to hear from you
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food as directed by the Executive Chef.
  • Supervise kitchen staff during prep and service hours, ensuring adherence to recipe standards and presentation guidelines.
  • Work with the Executive Chef and managers to compose creative menu items and enhance the guest experience all the time.
  • Assist in the development of processes to optimize kitchen productivity and maintain food quality levels.
  • Meet food cost targets, maintain inventory levels, and track waste during every service.
  • Ensure that kitchen operations adhere to all health, safety, and food handling regulations.
  • Manage and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and storage areas.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for kitchen staff to improve their skills and abilities.
  • Uphold quality control standards and regularly conduct test kitchen sessions to explore new innovative ways for food.

Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Sous Chef within the restaurant industry, specifically in a high-volume setting. Other qualifications include:
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop staff.
  • Knowledge of food safety guidelines and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other departments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
  • Passion for culinary and ability to create menus adhering to guest preferences.
  • Analytical aptitude and proficiency in cost management and inventory control.
