Adelphi is seeking qualified Optometrists to see patients with a wide variety of pathology and refractive needs and to properly identify and diagnose systemic issues  at a facility in Richmond, Texas. The optometrist will examine eyes for both vision and health problems and may correct refractive errors by prescribing eyeglasses.

Requirements:

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree.
• Minimum of three years relevant experience.
• An active U.S. optometry license from the Texas Optometry Board without restrictions.
• Knowledgeable in the field of general medicine and of the principle of development, implementation, and documentation of individualized care and treatment in optometry.
• Skilled in the care and treatment of patients and in the use of medical diagnostics and optometry services.

Responsibilities:

• Delivers high quality medical services to individuals with intellectual disabilities in accordance with current accepted medical practices.
• Comply with and act in good faith in the performance of their duties.
• Perform excellent comprehensive eye exams in accordance with the facility’s protocol and standards of care.
• Provide a great eye exam experience and communicate eye health, eye-wear, and prescription advice to patients.
