Occupational Therapist

More specifically Occupational Therapists will perform various tasks that help patients get back to or learn to do things that are important to them.
Duties and Responsibilities of the job may include:
- Performing evaluations and re evaluations to establish goals, qualify patients for therapy, to include both standardized and clinical observations.
- Supervise and provide guidance for COTAs.
- Partnering with clients and families to formulate and implement individualized goals with focused, targeted, and measurable outcomes.
- Providing direct client care in collaboration with clients and families to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
- Ensuring that clients are receiving effective and efficient care.
- Utilizing research to formulate and implement evidence-based practice.
- Problem-solving with members of other disciplines (Speech therapy).
- Documenting workload statistics according to the Medicaid guidelines.
- Writing and filing reports on an electronic health record as required.

Requirements: Must have a valid Texas License in occupational therapy, a degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelors/Masters/Doctorate), and have passed the NBCOT.
