Moniteau County Jail is open 24 hours a day 365 days a year.  

Full time employees will be expected to work nights, weekends and holidays.  
The schedule does offer every other weekend off.  

As a Moniteau County Detention Officer, you will be responsible:
  • For the safety and security of the facility while conducting day-to-day operations.  
  • Detention Officers also conduct transports outside the facility to or from locations such as the hospital, prisons and other jail facilities.  
There is a lot of work done on computers so some knowledge in that area would be preferred.  Detention Officers also need to be someone that is person oriented with quick problem-solving skills.
