WE’RE HIRING

Rochester’s Cornerstone Group is seeking to hire a Full-Time Maintenance Technician for Long Pond Senior Housing, 1 GBC Parkway, Rochester, NY.

$18- $22/hour based on experience.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be expected to perform tasks including, but not limited to:
  • Take care of the overall outstanding, daily upkeep of the property- all aspects, inside and out. 
  • Take pride in your craft
  • Take initiative
  • Take accountability
  • Schedule, coordinate, monitor and perform all maintenance, service requests, and repairs.
  • Document daily maintenance activity including problems encountered, work completed and vacancy status updates.
  • Perform, monitor, inspect, and conduct evaluations necessary to prepare apartments for move in of future tenants.
  • Inspect the property daily and maintain proper cleanliness and curb appeal.
  • Work and communicate professionally, respectfully, ethically, and cooperatively at all times.

Essential Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience related to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, appliance, HVAC, and building systems preferred.
  • Prior experience working in property management a plus
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to respond to on-call shifts.
  • Personal cell phone required (reimbursement included).

Welcome to Long Pond Senior Housing

Long Pond Senior Housing is operated under the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program (LIHTC), within Section 42 of the Internal Revenue Code. This program is designated to facilitate the housing needs of moderate to low income seniors age 62+. Applicants with Section 8 travel vouchers or certificates may apply for residency. Additionally, there will be 45 Section 8 Project Based vouchers from Rochester Housing Authority.
