The Club at 12 Oaks is a private country club with over 10 years of tradition as well as modern-day country club amenities. Our Youth Department is currently seeking energetic, friendly, and creative individuals to join our team.

Candidate requirements:
  • Must have prior experience working with groups of children.
  • Must be able to promote, lead, teach, and conduct group activities.
  • Must be capable of controlling a group of children and maintaining order.
  • Must be able to enforce rules, resolve conflicts, and be spatially aware while promoting a fun and safe environment.
  • Must be professional at all times.
  • Must be well-spoken and an effective communicator to children, staff, management, and parents.
  • Must be responsible, have integrity, and have a strong work ethic.

Schedule:Be available year-round for Friday and Saturday shifts:
  • Wednesdays to Fridays- 5:00 pm -9:30 pm*

Be available as needed year-round for Weekend shifts:
  • Possible Saturday shifts- 9:30 am - 12 pm, 12:30-3 pm, or 5:45 pm-9:15 pm
  • Possible Sunday shifts- 9:30 am - 1:30 pm
Hours vary weekly and monthly based on Youth Events.

Other hours available upon request:
  • Teacher work days (hours available between 8:30 am & 4:30 pm M-F)
  • Seasonal Holiday Activities & Day Camps (hours available between 8:30 am & 4:30 pm M-F)
  • Summer Camp Counselor Roles (full-time or sub opportunities)
  • Youth and Family Events (Easter Egg Hunt, Holiday Pool Parties, Halloween Party, Santa Brunch) throughout the year.
  • Chance to cross-train in other departments.
  • Afterschool Clubs ( hours and times can vary but usually Mon-Fri from 4-6 pm)

Responsibilities and DutiesJoin in, supervise, and lead activities for children 3 and older, fully toilet trained, that can include:
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Board games
  • Group games- active, ball games, circle games
  • Dinner
  • Cleaning and maintaining the Youth Room 
  • Host games or trivia nights 
  • Activity Planning: Plan and organize educational, recreational, and social activities. 
  • Resource Management: Ensure the availability of materials and resources for activities and programs. 
  • Building Trust: Establish and maintain positive, trusting relationships with youth. 
  • Family Engagement: Communicate and collaborate with families to support the youth’s development and address any concerns. 
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of youth participation, progress, and any incidents. 
  • Reporting: Prepare reports on program activities, outcomes, and youth progress for supervisors 
  • Conflict Resolution: Mediate disputes and conflicts among youth, promoting healthy communication and problem-solving skills. 
  • Supervision: Oversee the safety and behavior of youth during activities and outings. 
  • Safety Protocols: Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of all participants. 
  • First Aid: Provide basic first aid and handle emergency situations appropriately. Must be CPR and First Aid certified.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Experience:
  • Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
  • Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
  • CPR and First Aid Certification

Work Location: One location
Schedule:
  • 4-hour shift
  • 8-hour shift
  • Evening shift
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:
  • Holly Springs, NC 27540: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
