We accomplish this mission through a broad range of social, educational, and recreational services that reach community members of all ages and backgrounds. This position would be in our CAPE program, MHOTRS Program serving adults 50 years old and older. The clinical social worker will work very closely with a larger treatment team consisting of a Psychiatrist, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Peer Advocates and a Registered Nurse. The social worker will receive individual supervision and participate in weekly case conferences involving the entire treatment team. The social worker will be able to attend social work continuing education classes offered on site, free of charge.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:
  • Provide mental health psychotherapeutic services in the Older Adult Center Satellite clinics. These services include providing intake assessments, ongoing individual, family and group treatment. Engagement activities include discussions as well as group engagement.
  • Provide direct administrative supervision to clinicians to improve their engagement skills, working relationships with OAC Directors, staff and community members. Ensure Peerplace/STARS data is entered correctly and in a timely manner, adhering to DGMH/OMH standards.
  • Complete all forms, such as intake documentation, treatment plans, progress note, DGMH required documentation within the required timeframe.
  • Participate in case conference meetings and clinical supervision.
  • In designated centers provide structured and unstructured engagement sessions; mental health, substance misuse, and psycho-social screenings; referrals and linkages to additional services when indicated.
  • Provide education and guidance to OAC staff when indicated. Forge connections with OAC staff/stakeholders at designated centers to enhance their use of services and improve agencies ability to meet deliverables.
  • Assist OAC staff in crisis management and planning for members and their families as indicated.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and organizations working to address the mental health needs of older adults in the community.
  • Submit reports as required, ensuring adherence to DGMH/OMH standards and contract.
  • Conduct site visits to designed sites and clinicians as per DMGH standards and when needed to work with supervised clinicians.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED:
  • LMSW or LCSW with Interest and competence in working with older adults or LMSW with hours of clinical work and supervision complete.
  • Bilingual therapists are encouraged to apply.

Salary range: $70-$75K annually.
