KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The OneLess Intern will develop valuable leadership and administrative skills to effectively minister to children-at-risk this year and in the future. The OneLess Intern will be responsible to the following:
  • Provide support and coordination for Embrace groups for young, single moms.
  • Assist with supporting the Aspire mentoring program.
  • Assist with the planning, volunteer coordination, and implementation of summer camps for children in foster care & at-risk kids; and Stop the Trafficking 5K event.
  • Provide social media support for OneLess ministry events, groups, and activities.
  • Assist with cleaning and organizing the OneLess storage area(s).
  • Gain an understanding of the church database & communication systems and utilize to support OneLess events.
  • Attend OneLess department meetings and all-staff meetings.
  • Communicate professionally via phone/email with staff and volunteers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS:
  • Experience required: High School diploma required, prefer 2 years of college completed.
  • Educational interest in Ministry, Social Services, or other relevant field.
  • Demonstrate a personal passion to minister to people within the context of the local church.
  • Ability to self-motivate and take ownership of projects and tasks assigned.
  • Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
  • Has a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20).
  • We expect our interns to strive for cooperation and team building among the Grace Church staff and volunteers, dealing with conflict in a grace filled, Biblical way.
  • Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity in all situations.
  • Consistent attendance and participation in Grace Church and involvement in the life of the church.
