Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Tiler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces in both residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tiling techniques, materials, and safety procedures, as well as experience working with a variety of tiling equipment and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces, including cutting and shaping tiles as needed
- Prepare surfaces for tiling by cleaning, leveling, and smoothing them
- Apply adhesive and grout to tiles to secure them to surfaces
- Follow tiling patterns and designs as specified by blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents
- Measure and cut tiles to fit specific dimensions and shapes
- Install and repair tile underlayment, such as cement board and backer board
- Follow all tiling codes, regulations, and safety procedures
- Collaborate with other trades to coordinate installations and repairs
Requirements:
- Completion of a tiling apprenticeship program or relevant vocational training
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a tiler
- Knowledge of tiling techniques, materials, codes, and safety procedures
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and climb ladders
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
