Job Summary:We are seeking experienced and passionate Math tutors to provide in-person tutoring for students in Elementary School, Middle School, High School, College or Graduate/Professional school in the Houston, TX area. As a SiSTEM tutor, you will provide personalized, high-quality instruction to students, fostering their academic growth and understanding in various Math disciplines.

  • K - 5th Grade Math
  • 6th - 8th Grade Math
  • Algebra
  • Geometry
  • Finance & Accounting
  • Business Calculus
  • Statistic
  • Psychology Statistics
  • Differential Equations
  • Linear Algebra
  • Calculus 1
  • Calculus 2

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide in-person tutoring sessions in any of the subjects listed above to students from elementary through college level, in which you will help with each student's specific learning needs and academic goals
  • Prepare students for exams, assignments, and standardized tests
  • Track student progress and regularly communicate with parents or guardians (for K-12 students)
  • Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages growth
  • Align sessions with academic curricula and educational standards

Qualifications:
  • MUST BE eligible to work in the United States of America and have a valid Social Security Number; (Note: We do not sponsor visas at this time)
  • MUST be able to pass a background check
  • MUST HAVE your own computer and be technologically savvy (email, texting, etc.)
  • MUST HAVE reliable transportation for travel to homes, schools, libraries or coffee shops within a 15-mile radius of your location
  • MUST HAVE proven experience tutoring or teaching in the subject of your choice across various academic levels

Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  •  Able to work independently and as part of a team when necessary

Requirements:
  • A college student with at least 60 hours of credit hour
  • A college graduate (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctoral degree holder)
  • A certified teacher with SBEC or other teacher state licensure certification
  • A retired teacher with SBEC or other teacher state licensure certification
  • Skilled in English (All grade levels are welcome to apply)
