Growing company, opportunity for growthWe are seeking a highly-skilled and compassionate respiratory therapist to join our growing team. In this position, you will play a key role in patient care by helping to monitor progress and administer breathing treatments as prescribed by physicians. Experience working as a respiratory therapist in a clinical setting is a plus. You should have a patient-centered, caring approach and a proven ability to work as part of a team.
Respiratory Therapist Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform all necessary respiratory procedures using non-invasive methods, e.g. CPAP and BIPAP therapies
- Carefully follow doctors' instructions and conduct all prescribed therapies accurately and completely
- Participate in the diagnosis and evaluation of patients, recommend treatments, and advise doctors on best practices to control abnormal functions in the patient's cardiopulmonary systems
- Administer blood gas samples and perform basic analysis
- Document all treatments and report progress to physicians
- Maintain compliance with all laws and policies
Respiratory Therapist Requirements and Qualifications
- Associate degree in respiratory therapy
- Valid RRT or CRT license, current and in good standing
- 2+ years of experience as a licensed respiratory therapist
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong working knowledge of most up-to-date therapy procedures for patients
- Excellent bedside manner
Schedule:
- Part Time
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
