RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Overview: We seek a skilled and dedicated Millwright professional to join our team Howmet. This Millwright position will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and systems. This off-shift Millwright position will encompass various responsibilities which include, but not limited to: Pipefitting, welding, small fabrication, belts and sheave alignment. We are looking for a self-motivated and technically proficient individual committed to providing high-quality work and promoting a positive image of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, install, fabricate, repair, inspect, test, calibrate, adjust, maintain, modify, construct, clean, service and lubricate machines, equipment, electrical controls, structures and facilities.
  • Diagnose and correct problems and proactively seek elimination of wastes and failures.
  • Interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and civil drawings and schematics.
  • Interface with design and engineering personnel, to assure efficient installations and repairs and to maintain equipment documentation integrity.
  • Train apprentices in all aspects of job functions.
  • Interpret specification sheets and technical literature for mechanical and hydraulic components for the purpose of installation and/or troubleshooting.
  • Mark up prints to accurately reflect equipment current condition.
  • Cut, weld, braze and fabricate tools, materials and equipment.
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance checks, inspections and repairs.
  • Pipefitting, welding, small fabrication, belts and sheave alignment.
  • Working with aluminum, steel materials, general tool room equipment and CNC Mills.
  • Troubleshooting hydraulics and pneumatics. 
  • Must be a team player with willingness to learn and perform in other areas as assigned by management.
  • Keep a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to safety regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
  • ·Other duties may be assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONSBASIC REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Possess a minimum of ONE of the following:
    • Possess a minimum of eight (8) years of documented millwright/machine repair experience.
    • Have served a Bonafide apprenticeship program and possess a certificate which substantiates completion.\
    • Journeyman Millwright.
    • Journeyman Machine Repair.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience troubleshooting of machines including hydraulics and pneumatics.
