Bilingual (Spanish & English) Human Resources Intern

What You’ll Do:
The HR Intern will be an integral member of the Human Resources team for the Spring of 2025. The HR intern will focus heavily on the recruitment and onboarding process for non-desk workers and will also be involved in the full life cycle of the employee including onboarding and training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Files documents into appropriate employee personnel files
  • Performs maintenance of employee voicemails, redirecting HR related calls and distributing correspondence to the appropriate person of the team
  • Assist in the execution of the Human Resources strategic plan in support of the overall business unit and corporate strategic direction.
  • Supports Spanish speakers during the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing and interviewing candidates.
  • Supports Spanish speakers during orientations, onboarding, and integration into workforce.
  • Works closely with Training department to ensure proper training in terms of safety and understanding work instructions.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of employee personnel files to include rerouting of HRIS systems for accuracy of data.
  • Works closely with general management to understand business issues and opportunities and assist them in developing and implementing HR initiatives to address those opportunities.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
Candidate must possess the following:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to meet deadlines, juggle multiple tasks and take initiative.
  • Internal drive to complete projects.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Actively pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook
