Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation:
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes and specifications.
- Cut, chop, and mince vegetables, meats, and other food items.
- Mix sauces, dressings, and other culinary preparations.
- Cooking:
- Cook food items using various techniques such as grilling, sautéing, frying, and baking.
- Monitor food quality and ensure it meets our high standards.
- Adjust cooking times and temperatures as needed.
- Plating:
- Arrange and present food items on plates in an attractive and appetizing manner.
- Ensure proper portion control and presentation.
- Kitchen Maintenance:
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Stock kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Teamwork:
- Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen manager and other team members.
- Assist with other kitchen tasks as needed.
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
- Food Handler's Certification (preferred).
