Derby, United States Derby Recreation Commission Part time $12
The DRC is seeking an individual to teach pee wee cheerleading for a period of 8 weeks.

Pay: $12/hour
 
Essential Job Functions: 
  • Teach basic fundamentals of cheer to Kindergarten - 2nd Grade level children.
  • Coordinate and develop a set of cheers, chants, and a short dance routine for Kindergarten - 2nd-grade level children. 
  • Prepare participants for a public performance for family and friends during the final week of the class.
  • Take an accurate class attendance report on proper forms for turn-in to the Program Supervisor.
  • Lead and manage a classroom of Kindergarten - 2nd Grade children.
  • Make recommendations for the improvement of the program to the Program Supervisor.
  • Work all assigned class dates.
  • Ensure that facilities and equipment are cared for.

Experience: Background in cheer preferred.
Qualifications:
  • Should have proper knowledge of cheerleading chants, cheers, and dance routines.
  • Should be energetic and able to work with younger participants. 
  • Must be 16 and have reliable transportation. 
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Schedule: To be determined based on current and future needs – discussion with the Program Supervisor will determine this information.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to demonstrate the range of cheer movements for participants.
