WorkSkill is seeking an Auto Body Painter for our client in Orlando, FL.  Your function in this role is to support the clients' Scenic Art department in the operation of creating preparing and delivering the highest quality product for our clients. The Auto Technician will provide knowledgeable bodywork skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Follow written and verbal directions.
  • Use various pneumatic tools (dual action sander, inline sander, grinder, etc.)
  • Spray and clear auto paint.
  • Properly apply primers in various scenarios.
  • Properly apply the mix ratios of primers, paints, and clears.
  • Fade and touch up areas as needed.
  • Mask different areas of color.
  • Set up a mobile spray area in the field.
  • Demonstrate initiative within the shop.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year of bodywork experience.
  • Basic knowledge of pneumatic tools (dual action sander, inline sander, grinder, etc.)
  • High School or equivalent.
  • Vocational or technical school training.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Duties and responsibilities would be completed in our shop. Monday-Friday 6:00 am – 2:30 pm. All employees in the paint shop will be in contact with epoxies, urethanes, polyesters, and/or similar on a daily basis in an industrial setting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job:
  • All apprentices should expect to do a considerable amount of lifting, carrying, kneeling, balancing, and even crawling.
  • Thus a certain amount of strength and dexterity, and alertness is required. 
  • Must be prepared to work in various conditions, and knowledgeable of hazards and safety requirements.
