The Logistics Trailer Spotter - 3 works as part of a team operating a power single tractor spotting vehicle to stage and pull out up to 53’ hi-cube trailers of fenestration products. The Logistics Trailer Spotter - 3's assigned team and task will vary based on business necessity. The operator must meet and follow all DOT regulations.

$24.90 plus $2 shift diff 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Comply with safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures
  • Regular/dependable attendance required 
  • Abide by all DOT regulations
  • Ability and availability to work hours including overtime throughout the week and consistently work a Saturday overtime rotation
  • Able to work with and around moving equipment
  • Must have and maintain a valid CDL Driver’s license
  • Must be able to back equipment and trailers into close docks and through parking lots safely and efficiently
  • Must maintain a safe driving record
  • Pass a current Medical Examiners Certificate every 2 years as determined by DOT requirements
  • Pass random drug tests determined by D.O.T. requirements

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ability to rotate to other positions as needed
  • Other duties may be assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • DOT regulations experience is preferred
  • Job-specific experience is preferred

SKILLS AND TALENTS:
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals 
  • Time management 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Lift up to 100 lbs. at waist level and up to 70 lbs. at shoulder level up to an occasional basis when moving products
  • Push or pull with up to 100 lbs. of force on an occasional basis when moving products
  • Generate up to 90 lbs. of grip strength on an occasional basis with each hand while handling products
  • Generate up to 15 lbs. of pinch strength on an occasional basis with each hand while handling products
  • Display average coordination with both hands up to a continuous basis while performing job tasks
  • Perform elevated work up to an occasional basis when handling products
  • Stoop, kneel, or squat up to an occasional basis when handling products
  • Reach forward and to the side up on a frequent basis when handling products
  • Stand up on a continuous basis and walk up on a frequent basis during the course of each shift
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks up to 12 hours per day

PELLA CORPORATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Pass drug screen

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Pass pre-employment tests
  • Work in a team environment with the ability to communicate in a concise, polite, and respectful manner to team members and management
  • CDL Drivers License required
