Job Type: Full-timeShift: Day shift 7am to 3:30pm OR 8am to 4:30pmSalary: Up to $35/hr depending on experience

Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and complete repairs.
  • Produce accurate and itemized work orders on the work that was completed.
  • Utilize the latest in diagnostic equipment to accurately pinpoint truck issues.
  • Conduct truck inspections and alert the Service manager to issues that will prevent their trucks from passing inspection.
  • Perform other maintenance duties as requested.

Diesel Mechanic Education / Qualifications:
  • High school diploma/GED required – vocational school preferred.
  • Valid Driver License.
  • Knowledge of heavy-duty equipment – front-end loaders, forklifts & skid steers.
  • Must have mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic hydraulic knowledge also a plus.
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to work well with minimal supervision – this position reports directly to the fleet maintenance supervisor.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures.
  • Able to work all shifts and overtime if necessary.
  • 1 year plus experience performing repairs and services on Diesel and Heavy Equipment.
  • 5-7 years of experience a plus.
  • Must have own set of tools.
  • Ability to work occasional weekends as needed.
