Role Purpose:The purpose of the Food Runner/Busser is to ensure the seamless and efficient delivery of food from the kitchen to the Members & maintaining a clean and organized dining room. Our Nusser/Runners are a support system for the service teams to ensure that Echo Lake provides the best service possible to our Membership.

Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently transport food from the kitchen to the correct tables.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of food.
  • Ensure that food is presented correctly and that all orders are correct before delivery.
  • Interact with Members and their guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Respond to any immediate needs or requests made by the Members.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Greet and welcome Members and their guests with a warm and welcoming attitude.
  • Clearing tables of used dishes, utensils, and glassware upon completion of meals.
  • Supporting the waitstaff by refilling water glasses, delivering bread, and other tasks to enhance the dining experience.
  • Monitoring and restocking necessary items such as napkins, silverware, etc.
  • Supporting the setup and breakdown of tables and equipment for unique events.

Daily Tasks:
  • Pick up orders from the kitchen and verify accuracy.
  • Deliver food to the correct tables.
  • Effectively communicate with kitchen staff and front of the house staff.
  • Maintain a clean working environment.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to handle different tasks when assigned
  • Clearing and resetting tables as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining rooms.
  • Refill bread and water, as necessary.
  • Restock supplies as needed.

Long-Term Objectives:
  • Streamline the food delivery process to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Contribute to elevated levels of member satisfaction.
  • Explore opportunities to cross train in other positions (i.e., housemen, server, etc.)

Reporting Structure and Interactions:
  • Runner/Busser will report directly to the Dining Room Supervisors.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Previous experience in a similar environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Capable of handling the physical demands of the job.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
