Job Details:
  • Job Title: CDL Truck Driver 
  • Salary: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour           
Job Summary:We are seeking a dependable and experienced CDL Truck Driver to join our family at Chet’s Rental-All.
  • This role is crucial for the delivery and pick-up of rental equipment to and from customer sites.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to provide outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a heavy-duty rollback truck to transport equipment to and from specified locations in a timely manner.
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with the dispatch team to ensure accurate and timely deliveries and pick-ups.
  • Load and unload equipment, ensuring that it is secured correctly and documented properly.
  • Demonstrate the operations of the rented equipment to the customer/operator.
  • Provide excellent customer service during delivery and pick-up operations, representing the company in a professional manner.
  • Complete logs and reports, including travel and fuel logs, delivery documentation, and vehicle inspection reports.
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) and company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record.
  • Proven work experience as a truck driver, specifically in equipment delivery and transportation.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
  • No recent moving or driving violations.
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in operating equipment such as boom lifts, skid loaders, forklifts, etc.
  • Familiarity with GPS devices and route planning tools.
  • Customer service experience.
