PizanoLaw, P.C. is seeking to hire a full-time Associate Immigration Attorney. We are a small, but growing, removal defense/family immigration firm located in San Jose, California. Our mission is to provide compassionate representation and prevent the separation of families. Candidates for the position are expected to share our mission.
The ideal candidate will have immigration law experience. However, candidates with no experience will be considered if they have a demonstrated interest in immigration law.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manage caseload independently;
· Prepare petitions, applications, brief, motions and other filings;
· Represent clients before the EOIR, USCIS, DOS, ICE and BIA;
· Conduct legal research; and
· Work collaboratively with managing attorney and staff.
Requirements:
· Juris Doctorate degree and active bar admission in any state;
· Strong legal writing;
· Ability to manage deadline;
· Interest and passion for immigration law;
· Spanish fluency is required; and
· One-year immigration law experience is preferred but not required.
