Today’s aircraft contribute around 2.5% of global CO2 emissions, equivalent to the emissions of 200 million cars. This is only going to increase: Air travel is forecasted to double by 2050, while meaningful efficiency gains using current airplanes have hit a wall.

This is why we’re hiring a Head of Public Relations and Communications. In this role, you lead communications for external and internal stakeholders, serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and drive communication strategies that support business objectives.

JetZero is a place for people who are ambitious, talented, and humble. This role is remote, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.

What You'll Do

  1. Plan, develop and execute sophisticated communication strategies in support of JetZero’s business objectives with consideration for the long-term reputation management of the organization.
  2. Oversee media relations, issues and crisis management, brand reputation in an agile environment.
  3. Serve as trusted advisor to C-suite on organizational issues.
  4. Foster open, honest and transparent relationships with members of the media.
  5. Develop necessary content for written, video, digital and in-person channels including internal and external communications messages, speeches, presentations, talking points, and other collateral.
  6. Create an internal communications strategy that better connects the growing team.
  7. Partner with other verticals to ensure alignment to include Finance, Legal, Brand, Customer and Operations and serve as a facilitator of internal collaboration.
  8. Manage communications for select executives through interviews, high-impact media opportunities, and events; prepare executives to ensure consistent messaging.
  9. Guide strategy and execution for special events in support of customers, suppliers and company leadership.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism or equivalent.
  • 15 or more years experience in decision-making roles with a strong track record of working in support of various audiences to drive engagement.
  • A professional who is also entrepreneurial, and has a client-minded focus. Collaborative style and viewed as a strong business partner.
  • Must be able to perform in a high-pressure environment, and be able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to draft engaging and impactful messages for inspiring employees and investors.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products.
